Phillips Industries Increases Field Representation with Three New Hires

Santa Fe Springs, CA (May 29, 2012) Phillips Industries has recently added three new Territory Sales Managers in their latest effort to put more people in the field representing the company with sales and technical support. Joining Phillips as Territory Sales Managers are Nick Chelman in the Southeast, Thomas Lewis in the South Atlantic region and Kent Crymes in the Southern region.

Nick Chelman has spent his career in the commercial vehicle industry most recently as Hydraulic Cylinder/Track Rebuild Shop Supervisor with Kelly Tractor Company of Miami, FL. Previously, he worked for MHC Kenworth in Dallas, TX in both inside and outside part sales to fleet customers. Chelman holds a Bachelor of Science in Automotive Technology from Southern Illinois University.

Thomas Lewis joins Phillips directly from Great Dane Trailers where he held the position of National Account Manager in the Charlotte, NC area. Additional experience with Great Dane included time as National Parts Manager and Outside Sales Representative in Richmond, VA Lewis has also spent time with the Virginia Department of Transportation early in his career as a Right of Way Agent. He attended Randolf-Macon College, Ashland, VA.

Kent Crymes has accepted the position with Phillips bringing sales and customer service experience earned in the financial services and health care industries. He graduated from Presbyterian College, Clinton, SC with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

In making these most recent personnel announcements, Randy Walker, the Director of Aftermarket Sales for Phillips remarked, “One of our most important goals over the last couple of years has been to increase the number of people in the field calling on both fleets and our distributors. Our company and our products are well thought of in the industry but we knew we needed more people with direct contact with our customers in order to give them the best service available. We have been working diligently to fill that need.”
