Phillips Industries Releases Roomy I-BOX For Aftermarket Retrofit

Santa Fe Springs, CA (November 30, 2009) Phillips Industries has released to the aftermarket their roomy I-BOX™, a nosebox designed to handle the expanding electronic requirements of today’s trailers.

Phillips’ I-BOX™ has a third more working room inside the box that alleviates wire pinching and pull-out which has become a problem with standard noseboxes on trailers with supplemental systems such as trailer tracking and weigh systems. The I-BOX™ can also house Phillip’s award-winning PERMALOGIC™ Controller and has enough room for flash memory to store important trailer schematics, bills of material and other important documents and keep them dry. Other time and money saving features of the I-BOX™ include:

  • A removable lid with weather-proof gasket which protects the interior against corrosion and extreme weather
  • Circuit breakers housed in the i-BOX™ which can be changed in a matter of seconds
  • Includes Phillips 7-way QCS™2 Quick Connect Socket allowing for easy replacement when required.

The I-BOX™, initially introduced as a new trailer option in 2008, can now be purchased through Phillips authorized dealers and distributors to retrofit to existing trailers.
