William Ellis Joins Phillips Industries as Managing Director of Phillips Connect Technologies
Santa Fe Springs, CA (June 16, 2017) Phillips Industries, a leading innovator of advanced electrical and air brake system components and electronic communication solutions for commercial vehicles, recently launched Phillips Connect Technologies (PCT). William (Bill) Ellis has been hired as the managing director for PCT.
The PCT division is developing several different packages of products that will offer their patent-pending plug and play connectivity. The open platform is designed to work seamlessly with many sensor-driven components supplied by various component manufacturers. Sensor data can be transmitted to the driver, to the fleets operations team, or even the trailer OEM utilizing various telematics options.
Prior to joining Phillips Industries, Ellis was most recently a partner at Keystone Transportation Solutions, LLC, a transportation service provider to international commodity traders on the Inland Port of Virginia.
Ellis experience includes new venture start-up, debt and equity capital financing, financial planning and forecasting, business development and strategic planning. He has worked in financial services-investment banking and brokerage, heavy machinery capital equipment, transportation and logistics-intermodal rail, and heavy commodity 3PL.
Ellis received his BA in Government from Cornell, his MBA in Finance and Accounting from Columbia and served in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant.
