SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Territory Fleet Team Manager (TFT) core responsibility is new customer acquisition within their assigned territory. This role will be sales leader within the operation leading the charge in identifying and landing new accounts to generate incremental growth.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Calling on the fleets, dealers, distributors, and small OE’s; customer development, product presentations, market analysis and building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Plans and forecasts territory growth on an annual basis.
  • Represents Company at designated fleet association meetings, customer events and local trade shows.
  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective fleets, distributors, specialized trailer manufacturers and dealers. 
  • Conducts product training and demonstrations with assigned customers.
  • Prepares weekly call reports, expense reports and other reports as required by management and submits in a timely manner.
  • Analyzes market to determine customer needs, volume potential, market trends and competitive intelligence and develops programs to accommodate the goals of the company.
  • Works with customers and Phillips R&D to adapt current products and/or develop new products for customer applications.
  • Plans and forecasts territory growth on an annual basis.
  • Represents Company at designated trade shows and association meetings.
  • Develop territory sales goals and review progress regularly with Sales Manager.
  • Set up key account goal programs. 
  • Participate in all scheduled training and regular conference calls 

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Ability to travel locally, and nationally as needed to fulfill the essential duties and responsibilities.
  • Customer client focused.
  • Must possess a high standard of integrity.
  • Results driven with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Collaborative disciplined and focused.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in sales, marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales or comparable industry experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated progressive sales growth aptitude.
  • Excellent customer service and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Industry experience preferred/must have electrical/technical background
