Santa Fe Springs, CA (May 16, 2013) Phillips Industries has hired Brett Harlan as Eastern Regional Sales Manager and Ryan Taylor as Central California Territory Sales Manager. They are being added to Phillips direct sales team to increase the companys field representation supporting current and new customer requirements.
Brett joins Phillips Industries from Newell Rubbermaid where he was employed for nearly ten years, most recently as the Key Account Manager responsible for a $7 million business in tools, hardware and commercial products for top auto and construction accounts. He has also held sales and marketing positions for I/C Channel, NASCAR, Home Depot, and Walmart. Brett is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He lives in Charlotte, NC.
Prior to taking his new position at Phillips, Ryan was the West Coast Sales Manager for Ublighting, handling both OEM and aftermarket products with a focus on building relationships with fleet accounts. Past experience in the transportation industry includes sales at American Auto Restyling, Project Manager for Roadwire Automotive Innovations and Show Coordinator for Elite Automotive. Ryan has completed the Manheim Management Training Program. He will be relocating to San Francisco, CA.
Brett and Ryan have both spent time in the field calling on fleets before joining Phillips. Thats important to us as we move to better serve our fleet customers along with our distributor base, commented Randy Walker, Director Aftermarket Sales.
