Phillips Industries Continues History of HDT Top 20 Awards with Recognition for 2019 Product Introduction

Phillips Industries Continues History of HDT Top 20 Awards with Recognition for 2019 Product Introduction

Santa Fe Springs, CA (March 5, 2020) Phillips Industries has again been recognized by Heavy Duty Trucking’s Top 20 Award for products introduced in 2019. The EZTrac™ and EZTrac™ Plus are the latest Phillips products to be named to HDT’s Top 20 Award list.

EZTrac solution products are easy-to-install GPS tracking systems, with a user-friendly and customizable online dashboard, that begins increasing a trailer or chassis fleet’s ROI immediately. By streamlining the most useful tracking information via the PCT web-based portal and displaying it directly on a driver’s phone, tablet, or operator’s office computer, EZTrac solutions offer complete visibility for any size fleet. With 4G LTE cellular coverage in the US, Canada, and Mexico, an asset’s location can be tracked throughout most of the North American continent.

Both the EZTrac and EZTrac Plus hardware devices are powered by the tractor through the ABS or brake circuit. However, the EZTrac Plus will also draw power from its built-in battery, allowing for geolocating, even when there is no power supplied by the vehicle’s electrical system. Installation of either device requires no splicing or re-wiring, plugging directly in-line to the standard ABS harness. The EZTrac with STA-DRY® Harness is IP67 rated, protecting the internal technology from entry of moisture and corrosion causing contaminants.

HDT editors chose top products based on their level of innovation, ability to address significant industry issues, and potential benefit to the bottom line. Additional consultation with the HDT Editorial Advisory Board, made up of fleet executives and managers, finalized the Top 20 spots.

The Top 20 award was presented to Phillips Industries’ representatives during the American Trucking Associations’ Technology & Maintenance Council annual meeting at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, February 24-27. See picture here.

A Phillips Industries product has secured a spot on HDT’s Top 20 list multiple times over the past ten years. Rob Phillips, president and COO, commented about this latest recognition of Phillips’ product innovation, “Thanks again to HDT for recognizing Phillips Industries’ commitment to solutions-oriented product development. We listen to equipment operators to understand today’s challenges. The EZTrac products are an example of technology-driven solutions from Phillips not even imagined a couple of years ago.”

EZTrac solutions were officially launched by Phillips Connect Technologies (PCT), a strategic business unit (SBU) under the Phillips Corporate umbrella, with recent and exclusive aftermarket distribution availability through the Phillips Aftermarket SBU. EZTrac and EZTrac Plus devices are available through Phillips’ exclusive dealer network. The low-cost subscription, which includes access to a web-based portal account for online asset tracking, is provided through PCT.
